is 9.4 miles long; it's longer than many backcountry trails. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in place. You'll must go far from Oxnard-Thousand Oaks-Ventura to get to McGuire Trail, but it sure is a an excellent hiking trail. Backcountry backpacking

Alamo Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth visiting, and McGuire Trail is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Ozena Campground is a delightful local campground.
This place, the Sierra Madre, has so much outdoors enjoyable stuff. Near McGuire Trail you come across good locations like Snail Canyon, and camping at Reyes Peak Campground is always a brilliant experience.
A trip to McGuire Trail wouldn't be complete without taking a look
at McGuire Spring, and let's not forget Reyes Creek which is a stream that you may run into during your stay. A short journey to McGurie Spring is always worthwhile.
