in the 60's. Through the winter highs are in the 50's while McGuire Trail night low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 30's. Around McGuire Trail you don’t get a lot of rainfall; during the month of February you get the most rain around here; July is the month with the
least moisture. The total elevation difference for this backcountry hiking trail is 2,566 feet, and that is higher than average. The time needed for this trek is roughly 8 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. It's a lengthy
tour from Oxnard-Thousand Oaks-Ventura to McGuire Trail, but it is a splendid trail. This is a long backcountry trail, so don't forget to pack enough supplies. Different parts of McGuire Trail are at very different elevations, and that means that some parts of the great outdoors
trail could be very different from other parts of it. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping.

Ozena Campground is a perfect spot to camp nearby. So much enjoyable stuff to do in the Sierra Madre, not enough time. Reyes Creek is a picturesque stream that is worth taking a look at, and do put some time aside to spend at McGurie Spring if you're here at McGuire Trail.
Snail Canyon is a fine place to check out near McGuire Trail; McGuire Spring is a pleasant local attraction. Stay the night at Reyes Peak Campground.
