California hiking trails - Low Gap Trail, Klamath Mountains, Siskiyou County

   
  Low Gap Trail is to be found a pretty lengthy drive from Grants Pass, but it is a good great outdoors trail. There are many nice backcountry trails in California, and Low Gap Trail in Siskiyou County is one of them. There are numerous backcountry trails in California, and each one has its own character. There are not too many wilderness trails in this vicinity. This hike shouldn't take more than 6 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. Backpacking and hiking trails like this one here in the Klamath
    Mountains are a very great way to see these summits. Trekking in California is such a nice thing to do. A normal amount of precipitation falls here at Low Gap Trail; the month with most of the rain is December while July is regularly the driest month. And keep in mind that there
could be temporary safety restrictions in spot. This hiking trail sometimes gets very dry, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. Hitting the great outdoors trails is always an enjoyable thing to do, and Low Gap Trail in Siskiyou County, California is a good place for getting out. This hiking trail is a mid length hiking trail with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this wilderness trail splendid for hard core backpackers looking for adventure. If you happen to be in California,  
why not go backcountry backpacking, it is a brilliant way to spend some time. Low Gap Trail goes through some very different elevations, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations. This hiking trail has two trailheads, so backcountry trekking it one way is an option if you can arrange for a ride back. Low Gap Trail is 7 miles long it's a mid length backcountry trek. The total elevation difference for this hiking trail is 2,349 feet which is about average. Now this hiking trail is pretty long, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Low Gap Trail while nighttime lows are regularly in the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's while Low Gap Trail nighttime low temperatures during the winter are in the 30's.

And that's not all you can do here at Low Gap Trail. Indian Creek Klamath Tributary is a fine whitewater spot near Low Gap Trail, and a spree to Whisky Spring will fill your soul with perfect feelings. Low Gap Trail is great enough to spend more than a day at, Fort Goff Campground is a great local campground, and a pleasant tour to Bee Flat is a brilliant way to spend an afternoon.
You can run the rapids of Klamath River in close proximity to Low Gap Trail. There's so much to do here at Low Gap Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Cook and Green Campground is a glorious site for that. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Klamath Mountains. A fine place close to Low Gap Trail is Low Gap, and let's not forget Low Gap Creek which is a stream that you may run into while here.
But wait, there's more entertaining things to do in the Klamath Mountains. O'Connell Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth visiting, and Bee Flat is a great spot to stretch your legs a bit.
