California hiking trails - Los Pinos Trail, Santa Ana Mountains, Orange County

   
  There are plenty of wilderness trails in California; each one of them has something unique to offer. This part of California is always a pleasure to stop by during backpacking season. Los Pinos Trail is not very near Los Angeles-Long Beach-Santa Ana at all, but what a nice place for hiking it is. For the duration of the summer months at Los Pinos Trail temperatures are usually in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 60's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 60's, and winter nights come with lows in the 40's to Los Pinos
    Trail. Los Pinos Trail is pretty dried up mostly; most of the rain falls during January, and the driest of the months is July. This backcountry walk should take you about 2 days, so it's a great thing if your backpack is big enough to do the job. The total elevation difference
for this backcountry trail is 3,620 feet which is higher than average. With its 15 miles of walking distance; it's considered a longer walk. This is just one of a large number of backpacking trails in this region. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in place. Los Pinos Trail is a one trailhead backcountry trail, so in and out is the way to backcountry hike it normally. Put on your hiking shoes, and hit the backpacking trail, Los Pinos Trail in Orange County, California is just the place. This trail sometimes gets very dry,  
so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. Trekking here in the Santa Ana Mountains is a very magnificent way to see these highlands. This hiking trail is many miles long with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this a very tough backpacking trail for advanced backcountry walkers looking for a fine challenge. There are wilderness trails all over California; one of those is Los Pinos Trail in Orange County. Here in the great state of California hiking is the great thing to do. Some parts of Los Pinos Trail are much higher up than other parts of the great outdoors trail which of course means you need to be prepared for different conditions on different parts of the great outdoors trail. Los Pinos Trail is quite long, so don't forget to pack enough supplies.

Briefly about the general area:
Falcon Campground is a glorious campground here, and places like Bear Flat are pleasant to go to. Chiquito Spring is an inspiring spot to take a look at during your stay; Holy Jim Canyon is a perfect site to explore.
You can run the rapids of Santa Margarita River in the neighborhood of Los Pinos Trail, and a tour to Los Pinos Trail wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Alder Spring. Now, you may assume that's plenty but there's even more exciting things to do here in the Santa Ana Mountains. If you came for an overnight stay Trabuco Campground is a nice site to camp; Verdugo Potrero is a good location to check out. Los Pinos Trail beyond doubt is in the middle of a pretty outdoors paradise.
