right next door to Lanyan Trail; Sulphur Spring is an inspiring place to stop at while you're here. South Fork Dry Creek is a good local stream, and Cooks Flat is a tremendous location to check out. So many enjoyable things to do in the Klamath Mountains, not enough time. Near
Lanyan Trail you find pleasant places like Long Gulch, and don't leave Lanyan Trail without first paying a visit to Sulphur Spring. There's no way anybody can get bored here in the Klamath Mountains. Take a side journey to North Fork Dry Creek, and why not camp at Saddle Camp Campground
since you're here at Lanyan Trail. Whitewater paddling is good on Cottonwood Creek - South Fork, and a great spot to camp here at Lanyan Trail is Whitlock Campground.
