South Fork, and Lanyan Trail is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Saddle Camp Campground is a pleasant local campground. There's no way someone can get bored here in the Klamath Mountains. You have to visit Boulder Point when you're here at Lanyan Trail; Sulphur Spring
is a magnificent local attraction. So much entertaining stuff to do in the Klamath Mountains, not sufficient time. A pleasant journey to Cooks Flat is a fine way to spend an afternoon, and some of the water close by flows, like North Fork Dry Creek. While you're here at Lanyan Trail it's a fine idea to take a look at Wakefield Flat; a good place for whitewater paddling is Elder Creek.
