California hiking trails - Lake Ranch Trail, Marin County

There are many delightful backcountry trails in California, and one of these is Lake Ranch Trail in Marin County. Lake Ranch Trail is a wet place that gets a great deal of rainfall; most of the rain falls all through January, and July on the other hand is the driest. This is a region covered with lots of hiking and backpacking trails. The total elevation difference for Lake Ranch Trail is 770 feet, and that is lower than average.
    There is only one trailhead, so in and out is the way to backcountry hike it normally. At parts of the year this region sees very little rain, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. This is a great outdoors hiking
trail that is quite long, so don't forget to pack enough supplies. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in spot. With its 7.8 miles of walking distance it's an average length wilderness hiking trail. It's a lengthy journey from Santa Rosa-Petaluma to Lake Ranch Trail, but great outdoors trails like these are wonderful. The length of this trail is about average having an average number of uphill miles which makes this a very tough hiking and backpacking trail for advanced backcountry walkers looking for a perfect challenge.  
Lake Ranch Trail stays roughly within the same elevation zone the whole time, so you get pretty much the same conditions along the whole wilderness hiking trail. For the duration of the warmest time of the year at Lake Ranch Trail temperatures are commonly in the 80's while night lows are usually in the 40's. Highs throughout the winter are usually in the 50's, and night lows throughout the winter for Lake Ranch Trail tend to be in the 30's. Hey, time for a backcountry hike don’t you think? Lake Ranch Trail in Marin County, California is a nice site for getting out. Each backcountry trail in California has its own unique splendor. The time needed for this backcountry walk is roughly 7 hours, but of course some people walk a bit slower and some a bit faster.

Briefly about the general area:
Cottinham Gulch is a nice site to spend some time at, and Paradise Valley is a pleasant site here at Lake Ranch Trail. A day at Wildcat Beach close to Lake Ranch Trail is time well spent; why not a little side spree to Alamere Creek.
All the outdoors fun things near Lake Ranch Trail will keep you coming back again and again. Put some time aside to spend at Crystal Springs if you're here at Lake Ranch Trail, and naturally Arroyo Hondo is a pretty stream that is worth a visit. A magnificent site to camp here at Lake Ranch Trail is Lower Campground, and Lake Ranch Trail is great enough to spend more than a day at, Glen Campground is a great local campground. Beaches are good; and Palomarin Beach close to Lake Ranch Trail is no exception, and a visit to Alamere Falls will fill your spirit with wonderful feelings.
Visiting Point Reyes National Seashore is just something you need to do if you haven't yet, and nearby you come across Abalone Point.
