If you come to this river you will have a good time for sure. There's some flowing water close by, Arroyo Hondo is a stream you can have a look at while you're here, and camping at Lake Ranch Trail is great fun, Glen Campground is a great local campground. Alamere Creek flows through
this area, and a tour to Wildcat Beach is always a nice idea. A nice location to explore in close proximity to Lake Ranch Trail is Cottinham Gulch; do schedule some time to check out Abalone Point if you have a chance. This is a really good river.
