California hiking trails - Jepson Trail, Marin County

   
  California is a magnificent location for backcountry hikers. Can’t wait to get out in the great outdoors, Jepson Trail in Marin County, California is such a brilliant place. Every single California backcountry trail is worth backcountry trekking. Jepson Trail is on the short side with an average amount of climbing distance which makes it a fine backcountry hiking trail for the average person looking for a fine adventure. The high level of rain makes Jepson Trail a rather wet location; most of the rain falls through January, and July is the month with the
    least moisture. Here in California backcountry trekking is always an enjoyable thing to do. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in site. Being 1.4 miles long it's shorter than many wilderness hiking trails. You should count on this backcountry walk
taking about 1 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. At Jepson Trail during the warm days of summer highs are in the 60's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 40's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 50's with temperatures at Jepson Trail dipping down into the 40's throughout winter nights. There are two trailheads to chose from, one in each end, so if you can get a ride from someone, you can backcountry hike it just one way. Jepson Trail is not very near Santa Rosa-Petaluma  
at all, but it is an enjoyable place to walk. At parts of the year this area sees very little rain, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go. The wilderness hiking trail stays roughly within the same elevation zone the whole time, so you won’t have to worry about different climate zones along your walk. Nice backcountry trails in California are in abundance; Jepson Trail in Marin County is one of them. This is not a very long wilderness trail but you should still bring some emergency supplies just in case something happens. Jepson Trail has a total elevation difference of 434 feet, and that is lower than average. This is an area covered with lots of backcountry hiking trails.

There's a forest here at Jepson Trail called Jepson Memorial Grove, and Jepson Trail is a pleasant spot to camp, Coast Campground is a pleasant spot.
A brilliant beach in the vicinity of Jepson Trail is Pebble Beach, and Point Reyes National Seashore is a very tremendous site to stop by. People from Santa Rosa-Petaluma love to come to Jepson Trail.
