Briefly about the general area: Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this spot. Stay the night at Kamp Klamath Campground and RV Park, and a great place to have a look at close by is Fern Canyon. Whohoo, so many exciting things in one place! The Coast Ranges rocks!
While you're here at James Irvine Trail you must take a look at Mussel Point, and some close by water includes Home Creek. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Redwood Creek; you can spend the day on the beach at Gold Bluffs Beach.
There's whitewater on Klamath River for all you adrenaline people, and at James Irvine Trail you always meet someone from Crescent City North. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors exciting stuff the Coast Ranges has to offer. Klamath River RV Park is a glorious campground here, and Squashan Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth visiting.
