It's a long drive from Crescent
    City North to James Irvine Trail, but when you spend some time hiking here you will feel like a whole new person. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in location. Summertime highs at James Irvine Trail usually tend to be in the 60's. Summer overnight
lows sink down to the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 50's; overnight lows during the wintertime for James Irvine Trail tend to be in the 30's. Spending too much time indoors got you down? No problem, if you happen to be in Humboldt County of California, James Irvine Trail is a glorious local wilderness hiking trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. James Irvine Trail has two trailheads which means you have the option of trekking it one way if you have someone to pick you up at the other end. Backpacking trails like this one here in the Coast Ranges are an outstanding way to explore these peaks. This is a vicinity covered with lots of hiking and backpacking trails. There's not much difference in elevation along the backpacking and hiking trail which means the conditions are about the same from start to finish. This backpacking and hiking trail is a mid length backpacking and hiking trail having an average number of uphill miles which makes this a very tough hiking and backpacking trail for advanced walkers looking for an outstanding challenge. This hiking trail sometimes gets very dry, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go.

Briefly about the general area:
Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this spot. If you're here at James Irvine Trail, do take a spree to Mussel Point, and you can run the rapids of Redwood Creek. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors cool stuff the Coast Ranges has to offer.
Whohoo, so much exciting stuff in one place! The Coast Ranges is so good! Home Creek is right next door to James Irvine Trail and is always a pleasure to stop at; Kamp Klamath Campground and RV Park is a great campground nearby. Klamath River RV Park is a glorious local campground, and the great people of Crescent City North like to hang out close by. There's some flowing water nearby, Squashan Creek is a stream you can stop by while here; a splendid spot for whitewater paddling is Klamath River.
Fern Canyon is a great site to go to nearby; you can hit the beach if you want, Gold Bluffs Beach is practically right here.
