California hiking trails - High Sierra Trail, Southern Sierra Nevada, Tulare County

   
  Gotta get out of the urban center man, and High Sierra Trail in Tulare County, California is a nice place for getting out. California is a fine outdoors state. Of course, this is an overnight backcountry hike, 11.5 days normally, so better have big backpack to fit all the stuff you need. High Sierra Trail is many miles long with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this backpacking and hiking trail tremendous for hard core backpackers looking for adventure.
    There are many wonderful great outdoors trails in California; one of them being High Sierra Trail in Tulare County. This backpacking and hiking trail sometimes gets very dry, so make sure you check current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you
head out. Different parts of this hiking and backpacking trail are at very different elevations, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations. Rather far from Visalia-Porterville you run into High Sierra Trail, but It's always fun to backcountry walk here. Every California great outdoors trail has its own character. All through the summer, highs commonly are in the 70's at High Sierra Trail while night lows are usually in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here  
at High Sierra Trail. A normal amount of rainfall falls here at High Sierra Trail; January is when you get the most rain here, and July is the month with the least moisture. Don’t forget to check for any current restrictions or closures before you go. With its 76.8 miles of walking distance; it's longer than many hiking and backpacking trails. This is a long backpacking and hiking trail, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies. The wilderness trails of the Southern Sierra Nevada are the best way to enjoy these summits. This is one of many backpacking and hiking trails in the surrounding neighborhood. The total elevation difference for High Sierra Trail is 5,185 feet which is higher than average. This is a one trailhead hiking and backpacking trail, so you'll be backcountry backpacking it in and back out.

A journey to High Sierra Trail wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Tokopah Falls, and the beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Wall Spring. Man, is there loads of fun things to do in the Southern Sierra Nevada. You must undeniably dedicate some time to Alta Meadow if you're here at High Sierra Trail, and Bobcat Point is in the neighborhood and always pleasant to have a look at. There's so much to do here at High Sierra Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Aspen Hollow - Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park is a nice spot for that, and in the event that you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Kaweah River.
You'll need more than a day to explore everything High Sierra Trail has to offer, you can camp at Log Bridge Campground, and why not take a little visit to Castle Creek while you're here. So much cool stuff to do here in the Southern Sierra Nevada, too tremendous to be true. Do set aside some time for Bearpaw Meadow since you're here at High Sierra Trail, and Kaweah River - Middle Fork is a brilliant whitewater spot nearby. That right there is a load already, but it carries on; High Sierra Trail has it all. Take some time to explore Castle Creek Grove while you're here, and visiting Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Park is just something you need to do if you haven't yet.
