Henderson Trail is situated a rather long tour from Oxnard-Thousand Oaks-Ventura, but it's one of those spots where backpacking is splendid. | | 30's. This vicinity does get very dry sometimes, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go. Henderson Trail is a two ended hiking trail with two trailheads, so if you can get a ride from someone, you can backcountry walk it just one way. Every California trail is different from the others. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in place. These great outdoors trails here in the Sierra Madre are a very splendid way to see these peaks. This trek shouldn't take more than 5.5 hours, but of course some people walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. This is just one of a large number of hiking and backpacking trails

from other parts of it. Henderson Trail is 6.4 miles long it's an average length backpacking trail.
Briefly about the general area:
Some of the water close by flows, like Frazier Creek, and do put some time aside to spend at Big Spring while you're here at Henderson
Trail. A pleasant visit to Gleason Flat is a good way to spend an afternoon, and you might also want to pay a visit to Trail Canyon if you're here at Henderson Trail.
This location, the Sierra Madre, has so much outdoors cool things. Camping is available at Twin Pines Campground,
and get wet paddling on Piru Creek. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool things in close proximity to Henderson Trail. Drift down the rapids of Sespe Creek in a kayak. If you came for an overnight stay Gold Hill Campground is a magnificent site to camp, and swing by Big Cedar Creek it's a nice spot to go to.
