I hiked this a few days ago (input submitted May 27th, 2022). I don't think the trail has really existed since the 2008 fire. Says Michael Hart
Haynes Delight Trail has a total elevation difference of 1,310 feet which is about average. This hiking trail sometimes gets very dry, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. Being 12.6 miles long; it's longer than many backcountry trails. There's not much difference in elevation along the backcountry trail, so you get pretty much the same conditions along the whole backcountry trail. This is a long hiking trail, so don't forget to pack enough supplies. This backcountry walk should take you about 2 days, so it's a perfect thing if your backpack is big enough to do the job. There is only one trailhead, so you'll be trekking it in and back out.
