California hiking trails - Half Dome Trail, Central Sierra Nevada, Mariposa County

   
  Here in the brilliant state of California trekking is a splendid idea. We all need to get out in the fresh air once in a while, and Half Dome Trail in Mariposa County, California is a good place for getting out. Half Dome Trail is not very close to Madera at all, but hiking trails like these are pleasant. No chance of getting bored in California if you like the wilderness.     fit all the stuff you need. Some parts of Half Dome Trail are much higher up than other parts of the wilderness hiking trail, and that means that some parts of the wilderness hiking trail could be very different from other parts of it. Half Dome Trail is a wet place that gets a
lot of rain; most of the rain falls all through January while July is generally the driest month. The total elevation difference for Half Dome Trail is 5,142 feet which is a higher than average number. This is just one of a large number of backcountry trails in this vicinity. Being 11.6 miles long; it's longer than many wilderness hiking trails. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in site. The length of this hiking trail is on the longer side with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this backcountry trail fine  
for hard core backpackers looking for adventure. Half Dome Trail is a one trailhead wilderness trail, so you'll be backcountry hiking it in and back out. At Half Dome Trail throughout the summertime highs are in the 80's. Summer overnight lows descend down to the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 40's, and overnight lows at Half Dome Trail during the winter generally descend into the 20's. Sometimes this wilderness hiking trail gets really dry, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go. The hiking trails of the Central Sierra Nevada are the best way to enjoy these highlands. Keep in mind that this is a long wilderness hiking trail, so do pack enough food to last the whole trip. California has plenty of brilliant hiking trails; Half Dome Trail is one of them, and it's in Mariposa County.

A pleasant place for whitewater paddling in close proximity to Half Dome Trail is Yosemite Creek, and since you're here why not take a look at Little Yosemite Valley. Whohoo, so much enjoyable stuff in one place! Half Dome Trail is unbeatable! Why not camp at Upper Pines Campground since you're here at Half Dome Trail, and why not a little side visit to Snow Creek.
Lost Valley is a good location, and North Pines Campground is a magnificent local campground. Just can't get enough of the Central Sierra Nevada. The beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Snow Creek Falls; a tour to Yosemite National Park is recommended. And that's not all the things to do here in the Central Sierra Nevada. Starr King Meadow is a great spot to check out, and don't leave Half Dome Trail without first paying a visit to Nevada Fall.
You can run the rapids of Tenaya Creek next to Half Dome Trail, and of course Sunrise Creek is a charming stream that is worth a visit.
