This is a one trailhead trail, so you'll be backcountry hiking it in and back out. Grouse Ridge Trail is 6.2 miles long it's a mid length walk. The total elevation difference for this trail is 1,886 feet, and that is about average. This region does get very dry sometimes, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go. Some parts of Grouse Ridge Trail are much higher up than other parts of the great outdoors hiking trail, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations. This is a trail that is quite long, so don't forget to pack enough supplies. This hike shouldn't take more than 5.5 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that.
