California hiking trails - Grey Trail, Northern Sierra Nevada, Placer County

   
  Each one of the many great outdoors trails of California is delightful in its own way. Hitting the backpacking and hiking trails is always an amusing thing to do, and Grey Trail in Placer County, California is the fresh air at its best. California has plenty of brilliant great outdoors trails, and Grey Trail in Placer County is one of them. The time needed for this walk is roughly 4 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. This hiking trail is not that long but it's always brilliant to bring some
    emergency supplies, you never know what could happen. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. This is just one of a large number of backpacking and hiking trails in this vicinity. Some parts of Grey Trail are much higher up than other parts of the trail which of
course means you need to be prepared for different conditions on different parts of the trail. Summer at Grey Trail arrives with high temperatures in the 90's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 50's; winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Grey Trail. This hiking trail sometimes gets very dry, so make sure you check current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you head out. Here in the brilliant state of California trekking never gets boring. Relatively  
far from Truckee-Grass Valley you discover Grey Trail, but it's one of those places where backcountry hiking is brilliant. Backcountry trails like this one here in the Northern Sierra Nevada are a fine way to explore these mountaintops. Grey Trail is a normal length hiking trail having an average number of uphill miles which makes this backpacking and hiking trail wonderful for the average hiker looking for a fun adventure. Grey Trail commonly gets a lot of rain; during January this area sees the most rain, and the driest of the months is July. This backcountry hiking trail has a total elevation difference of 2,339 feet which is an average number. Grey Trail is 4.8 miles long it's a mid length backcountry trek. California has lots of outdoors activities. Grey Trail has two trailheads, so hiking it one way is an option if you can arrange for a ride back.

Man, is there a lot of exciting stuff to do in the neighborhood of Grey Trail. These mountains rock, just check out all the fun things to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada. There are some perfect whitewater spots on American River - South Fork, and Wildcat Meadow is a good location to stretch your legs a bit.
Dewey Campground is a good campground nearby; if you come at the right time of year, Rubicon River offers some great whitewater. Desert Cold Spring is a magnificent local attraction; it's a delightful idea to visit South Creek. If you came for an overnight stay Hell Hole Campground is a tremendous spot to camp; why not have a look at nearby South Fork Rubicon River while you're here at Grey Trail.
