    is not that long but it's always good to bring some emergency supplies, you never know what could happen. Backcountry trekking here in California is always an amusing thing to do. With its 4.8 miles of walking distance it's an average length hiking trail. This is one of many wilderness
trails in the surrounding vicinity. The total elevation difference for Grey Trail is 2,339 feet which is an average number. This hike shouldn't take more than 4 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. There are two trailheads to chose from, one in each end which means you have the option of hiking it one way if you have someone to pick you up at the other end. For the period of the long summer days at Grey Trail temperatures are ordinarily in the 90's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the  
60's. The winter brings highs down to the 50's while Grey Trail overnight low temperatures during the winter are in the 30's. Different parts of this hiking trail are at very different elevations which of course means you need to be prepared for different conditions on different parts of the hiking trail. The high level of rain makes Grey Trail a reasonably wet place; January is when you get the most rain here, and July is when it's the driest. The striking hiking trails of the Northern Sierra Nevada are a very perfect way to see these peaks. Grey Trail is a mid-length hiking trail with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this wilderness trail perfect for the average hiker looking for an enjoyable adventure. At parts of the year this region sees very little rain, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go.

Man, is there plenty of enjoyable stuff to do in the vicinity of Grey Trail. It's a brilliant idea to pop by South Fork Rubicon River, it's next to Grey Trail; in case you don’t mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on American River - South Fork.
It's always tremendous to go to Desert Cold Spring, and Hell Hole Campground is a wonderful campground here. These mountains rock, just explore all the amusing things to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada. A quick trip to South Creek near Grey Trail is a magnificent idea; Wildcat Meadow is a perfect spot here at Grey Trail. Coming to this river is always a good idea. Rubicon River is a great whitewater spot near Grey Trail; you can stay the night at Dewey Campground.
