  We all need to get out in the outdoors once in a while, and Government Canyon Trail in San Bernardino County, California is such a great site. You'll need to go far from Riverside-San Bernardino-Ontario to get to Government Canyon Trail, but it sure is a a great hiking trail. There are many fine hiking trails in California, and among these are Government Canyon Trail in San Bernardino County. This wilderness hiking trail has a total elevation difference of 863 feet which is a lower than average number. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping.
    The backcountry trail stays roughly within the same elevation zone the whole time, so you get pretty much the same conditions along the whole backcountry trail. This backpacking and hiking trail is on the short side with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this great
outdoors hiking trail glorious for the average walker looking for an amusing adventure. This wilderness hiking trail has only one trailhead, so in and out is the way to walk it normally. There are plenty of hiking trails in California; each one of them is well worth a backcountry hike. Government Canyon Trail gets a typical amount of yearly precipitation; January is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest of the months is June. This hike shouldn't take more than 2.5 hours, but of course some people walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. This  
part of California is always a pleasure to check out during backcountry trekking season. This is just one of a large number of great outdoors hiking trails in this region. Trekking here in California is so much fun. Being 2.6 miles long it's a shorter type walk. Sometimes this backpacking and hiking trail gets really dry, so make sure you check current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you head out. Lots of fun awaits you along this river. Mojave National Preserve is a pleasant local destination here at Government Canyon Trail; a short journey to Hot Springs is always worthwhile. That right there is loads of exciting stuff already but it goes on, the San Bernardino Mountains has it all. Here at Government Canyon Trail you'll in all probability meet some people from Riverside-San Bernardino-Ontario; Hot Springs is always fun to check out.
If you're here, you might as well visit Government Canyon, and you can stay the night at Canyon Park. There's so much to do here at Government Canyon Trail that you need to camp here for a while, North Shore RV Resort is a wonderful site for that.
