California hiking trails - Gomez Trail, Santa Rosa Mountains, San Diego County

   
  There are hiking trails all over California; Gomez Trail is one of them, and it's in San Diego County. There are plenty of hiking trails in California; each one of them is well worth a walk. Backcountry backpacking in California is such an outstanding thing to do. Summer at Gomez Trail arrives with high temperatures in the 90's. Summer night lows sink down to the 60's. Highs during the winter are mostly in the 60's, and night lows during the winter for Gomez Trail tend to be in the 30's. The total elevation difference for Gomez Trail is 4,309 feet which
    is higher than average. This is one of a very small number of trails in this area. Gomez Trail is a trail quite far from San Diego-Carlsbad-San Marcos, but it sure is a a great trail. Different parts of this hiking trail are at very different elevations, and that means that some
parts of the hiking trail could be very different from other parts of it. The delightful wilderness trails of the Santa Rosa Mountains are a very brilliant way to see these mountains. Gomez Trail has only one trailhead, so you'll be hiking it in and back out. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in spot. Sometimes this hiking trail gets really dry, so make sure you check current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you head out. If you happen to be in California, why not go trekking, it is always  
an amusing thing to do. With its 11 miles of walking distance; it's considered a longer backcountry hike. Gotta get out of the city man, and Gomez Trail in San Diego County, California is nature at its best. The length of Gomez Trail is on the longer side having an average number of uphill miles which makes it a great trail for experienced trekkers in good shape. Gomez Trail is generally a quite dried out site; February is when you get the most rain here, and June is when it's the driest. This walk should take you about 1.5 days, so better have big backpack to fit all the stuff you need. This is a long hiking trail, so do pack enough food to last the whole trip.

Briefly about the general area:
If you want a good time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Gomez Trail. Santa Margarita River has a great whitewater paddling spot nearby. Chimney Flats is a tremendous spot here at Gomez Trail, and there's some flowing water nearby, Lion Creek is a stream you can pop by while here.
A short visit to Sawyer Spring is always worthwhile; Tin Can Flat is right here at Gomez Trail. Doane Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth a visit; Cedar Grove Campground is a great campground nearby. Be careful coming to the Santa Rosa Mountains, you might not ever want to return home again. Near Gomez Trail you stumble on Doane Valley which is a magnificent site to visit, and you can stay the night at Doane Valley Campground.
