to fit all the stuff you need. This is a long hiking trail, so do pack enough food to last the whole trip.
Briefly about the general area: If you want a good time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Gomez Trail. Santa Margarita River has a great whitewater paddling
spot nearby. Chimney Flats is a tremendous spot here at Gomez Trail, and there's some flowing water nearby, Lion Creek is a stream you can pop by while here. A short visit to Sawyer Spring is always worthwhile; Tin Can Flat is right here at Gomez Trail. Doane Creek is one of
the streams nearby that might be worth a visit; Cedar Grove Campground is a great campground nearby. Be careful coming to the Santa Rosa Mountains, you might not ever want to return home again. Near Gomez Trail you stumble on Doane Valley which is a magnificent site to visit, and you can stay the night at Doane Valley Campground.
