of uphill miles which makes it a great trail for experienced trekkers in good shape. Gomez Trail is generally a quite dried out site; February is when you get the most rain here, and June is when it's the driest. This walk should take you about 1.5 days, so better have big backpack
to fit all the stuff you need. This is a long hiking trail, so do pack enough food to last the whole trip.

If you want a good time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Gomez Trail. Santa Margarita River has a great whitewater paddling
spot nearby. Chimney Flats is a tremendous spot here at Gomez Trail, and there's some flowing water nearby, Lion Creek is a stream you can pop by while here.
A short visit to Sawyer Spring is always worthwhile; Tin Can Flat is right here at Gomez Trail. Doane Creek is one of
the streams nearby that might be worth a visit; Cedar Grove Campground is a great campground nearby. Be careful coming to the Santa Rosa Mountains, you might not ever want to return home again. Near Gomez Trail you stumble on Doane Valley which is a magnificent site to visit, and you can stay the night at Doane Valley Campground.
