We all need to get out in the fresh air once in a while, and Fish Canyon Trail in Los Angeles County, California is a fine spot for getting out. Fish Canyon Trail goes through some very different elevations which of course means you need to be prepared for different conditions
on different parts of the hiking and backpacking trail.
Briefly about the general area: Burnt Peak Canyon is a fine site to spend some time at, and places like Atmore Meadows are wonderful to visit. If you come at the right time of year, Piru Creek offers some perfect
whitewater, and needless to say Salt Creek flows through this neighborhood. You truly should love Fish Canyon Trail. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Piru Creek. A spree to Cienaga Spring will fill your soul with great feelings,
and if you came to camp Sawmill Campground is a good place to do that. Now, you may believe that's plenty but there's even more entertaining things to do here in the Sierra Madre. There's so much to do here at Fish Canyon Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Atmore Meadows Campground is a great place for that, and Oak Flat is a great place to check out.
