California hiking trails - Fish Canyon Trail, Sierra Madre, Los Angeles County

There are so many brilliant great outdoors trails for backcountry hiking in California, and among these are Fish Canyon Trail in Los Angeles County. In California you never run out of outdoors fun. There are plenty of great outdoors trails in California; each one of them is pretty in its own way. The total elevation difference for Fish Canyon Trail is 1,826 feet, and that is about average. There are so many great outdoors trails in this neighborhood. The length of this backpacking
    trail is about average with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this great outdoors trail good for hard core backpackers looking for adventure. The backpacking trails of the Sierra Madre are the best way to enjoy these summits. Summertime brings highs in the 80's
to Fish Canyon Trail, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's, and all through the dark hours in the winter at Fish Canyon Trail temperatures plunge to the 30's. Don’t forget to check for any current restrictions or closures before you go. You'll need to go far from Bakersfield to get to Fish Canyon Trail, but it is one of many glorious backcountry trails in this neighborhood. The time needed for this trek is roughly 7 hours, but of course some folks walk a bit slower and some a bit faster.  
Fish Canyon Trail is 8 miles long it's an average length backcountry trail. This great outdoors hiking trail sometimes gets very dry, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. Finally, backcountry trekking time is here again, and Fish Canyon Trail in Los Angeles County, California is a really glorious location to spend some time. Fish Canyon Trail goes through some very different elevations, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations. Fish Canyon Trail is a two ended backcountry trail with two trailheads which means you have the option of backcountry trekking it one way if you have someone to pick you up at the other end. Fish Canyon Trail is pretty dried out regularly; February is when you get the most rain here while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Keep in mind that this is a long great outdoors hiking trail, so do pack enough food to last the whole trip.

Briefly about the general area:
Whohoo, so much fun stuff in one place! The Sierra Madre is excellent! If you came to camp Sawmill Campground is a good site to do that, and if you're here at Fish Canyon Trail it's a fine idea to visit Oak Flat. Piru Creek has a fine whitewater paddling spot nearby, and Cienaga Spring is a great local attraction.
Paddling on Piru Creek is so much fun. There's so much to do here at Fish Canyon Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Atmore Meadows Campground is a delightful place for that. You imagine that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. Since you're here at Fish Canyon Trail why not stop at Burnt Peak Canyon. You must beyond doubt dedicate some time to Atmore Meadows if you're here at Fish Canyon Trail, and Salt Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth stopping at.
