This area does get very dry sometimes, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go. This is one of many wilderness hiking trails in the surrounding vicinity. Every backpacking trail in California
    has its own character. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in place. Going for a hike here in California is a great way to spend some time. With its 12.4 miles of walking distance; it's a long backcountry trail. There are two trailheads to chose from,
one in each end, so if you can get a ride from someone, you can walk it just one way. The backpacking and hiking trails of the San Bernardino Mountains are the best way to enjoy these highlands. Falls Creek Trail has a total elevation difference of 5,353 feet which is a higher than average number. There are so many wonderful backpacking trails for trekking in California, and Falls Creek Trail in San Bernardino County is one of them. During the long summer days highs here at Falls Creek Trail get into the 80's. All through the moonlight hours it's ordinarily  
in the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 40's, and nighttime lows in the 20's for Falls Creek Trail. This backpacking and hiking trail is a very long backpacking and hiking trail with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this a very tough wilderness hiking trail for advanced trekkers looking for a magnificent challenge. The yearly rainfall here at Falls Creek Trail is about average; most of the rain falls during January, and June is when it's the driest. Now, this is roughly a 2-day backcountry hike, so make sure you've got all your overnight gear packed. This is a backcountry trail that is quite long, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies. This backcountry trail goes through some very different elevations which of course means you need to be prepared for different conditions on different parts of the backcountry trail.

Briefly about the general area:
Trail Fork Springs is a pretty place to take a look at while you're at Falls Creek Trail; some of the water close by flows, like Vivian Creek. High Meadow Springs is a splendid local attraction; swing by Camp Creek it's a perfect location to have a look at.
Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting stuff in the San Bernardino Mountains. Lots of people from Riverside-San Bernardino-Ontario come to Falls Creek Trail. Shields Flat is a good site to stretch your legs a bit; camping at Falls Creek Trail is pleasant fun, Council Campground is a pleasant local campground. All year is a pleasant time in the San Bernardino Mountains if you like the outdoors. Take some time to explore San Bernardino National Forest while you're here, and if you came for an overnight stay Falls Recreation Area is a brilliant spot to camp.
So much exciting stuff in close proximity to Falls Creek Trail, truly phenomenal. You might want to pay a visit to Dollar Lake Saddle while you're here at Falls Creek Trail, and a pleasant journey to Plummer Meadows is a good way to spend an afternoon.
