California hiking trails - Emigrant Trail, Northern Sierra Nevada, Alpine County

While visiting this vicinity in California it's a nice idea to go backpacking too. Emigrant Trail is 2.4 miles long it's a short great outdoors hiking trail. Emigrant Trail is on the short side having an average number of uphill miles which makes it a glorious backcountry hiking trail for the average person
    looking for a glorious adventure. This is one of a very small number of backcountry hiking trails in this area. Emigrant Trail gets a large amount of water; the month of January is the wettest with most of the snow, and July meanwhile is the driest month. The great outdoors hiking
trail stays roughly within the same elevation zone the whole time which means the conditions are about the same from start to finish. This hike shouldn't take more than 2 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. Emigrant Trail is a wilderness trail relatively far from Phoenix Lake-Cedar Ridge, but many people like to trek here to be near nature. Emigrant Trail is a two ended wilderness hiking trail with two trailheads, so trekking it one way is an option if you can arrange for a ride back. Sometimes  
this trail gets really dry, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go. The total elevation difference for Emigrant Trail is 463 feet which is lower than average. Backpacking here in the Northern Sierra Nevada is a nice way to explore these summits. All through the summertime highs here at Emigrant Trail get into the 60's while night lows are commonly in the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Emigrant Trail are in the 10's. Emigrant Trail is not that long but it's always glorious to bring some emergency supplies, you never know what could happen. California has plenty of magnificent great outdoors hiking trails, and among these are Emigrant Trail in Alpine County. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in location.

Briefly about the general area:
Poison Canyon is near Emigrant Trail and is absolutely a great location to explore; camping is available at Overflow Campground. Whitewater paddling is magnificent on Mokelumne River - North Fork.
If you want a wonderful time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Northern Sierra Nevada. Rose Meadow is a good location to check out, and if you came for an overnight stay Lake Alpine Campground is a splendid place to camp.
