Some parts of this wilderness trail are much higher up than other parts of the wilderness trail, and that means that some parts of the wilderness trail could be very different from other parts of it. Even though this is not a very long backpacking trail you should still bring some emergency supplies just in case something happens. With its 2.6 miles of walking distance it's a shorter type backcountry hike. Ellicott Trail is a two ended backcountry hiking trail with two trailheads, so if you can get a ride from someone, you can trek it just one way. This vicinity does get very dry sometimes, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. The time needed for this backcountry walk is roughly 2 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that.
