The total elevation difference for this hiking trail is 198 feet which is lower than average. This great outdoors hiking trail is not that long but you should still bring some emergency supplies just in case something happens. With its 2.4 miles of walking distance it's shorter than many hiking trails. You spend the whole backcountry hike in roughly the same elevation zone, so you get pretty much the same conditions along the whole hiking trail. This hike shouldn't take more than 2 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. Edgewood Trail has two trailheads which means you have the option of hiking it one way if you have someone to pick you up at the other end. At parts of the year this neighborhood sees very little rain, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire.
