This is not a very long backpacking trail but it's always pleasant to bring some emergency supplies, you never know what could happen. This is a two-ended trail with two trailheads, so backcountry hiking it one way is an option if you can arrange for a ride back. This trail has a total elevation difference of 357 feet which is a lower than average number. This neighborhood does get very dry sometimes, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go. Echo Lake Trail is 2.4 miles long it's a short hiking trail. You should count on this backcountry trek taking about 2 hours, but of course some people walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. The hiking trail stays roughly within the same elevation zone the whole time, so you won’t have to worry about different climate zones along your backcountry hike.
