Briefly about the general area: A short trip to Cold Spring is always worthwhile, and do pop by North Fork East Creek since you're here at East Creek Trail. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Warner Mountains.
A great spot near East Creek Trail is Long Valley; why not a little side spree to Little North Fork East Creek. A river like this is too good to miss. If you came to camp Blue Lake Campground is a delightful place to do that, and Middle Fork Spring is always fun to check out.
There's so much to do here at East Creek Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Soup Spring Campground is a good site for that, and Corporation Meadow is a delightful place any time of year. And if that's not enough, there's a lot more to do next to East Creek Trail. A pleasant tour to Patterson Meadow is a good way to spend an afternoon.
