Ok, you've been cooped up too long, time to get out in the great outdoors a bit, and if you happen to be in Mariposa County of California, Eagle Peak Trail is a magnificent local wilderness hiking trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. Being 9.4 miles long; it's a long great outdoors trail. Eagle Peak Trail is a wilderness hiking trail rather far from Madera, but wilderness hiking trails like these are fine. Don’t forget to check
    for any current restrictions or closures before you go. This backpacking trail is many miles long with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this a very tough backcountry trail for advanced hikers looking for a glorious challenge. This is a one trailhead trail, so
in and out is the way to backcountry trek it normally. This region does get very dry sometimes, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go. Every single California backcountry hiking trail is well worth a backcountry hike. High temperatures at Eagle Peak Trail during the summer are in the 80's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's while Eagle Peak Trail overnight low temperatures through the winter are in the 20's. The backpacking trails of  
the Central Sierra Nevada are the best way to enjoy these hills. This is a hiking trail that is quite long, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies. The total elevation difference for Eagle Peak Trail is 3,939 feet which is a higher than average number. There are so many backcountry trails in this region. There are many great backcountry hiking trails in California; one of them being Eagle Peak Trail in Mariposa County. You should count on this backcountry hike taking about 8 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. Some parts of Eagle Peak Trail are much higher up than other parts of the great outdoors trail, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations. Eagle Peak Trail sees pretty high levels of rainfall; the month of January is the wettest with most of the rain while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation.

Whohoo, so many enjoyable things in one place! The Central Sierra Nevada is great! A spree to Eagle Peak Trail wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Yosemite Falls; let's not forget Bluejay Creek which is a stream that you may stumble upon during your stay. Camping at Upper River Campground is always a splendid experience; there are some great whitewater spots on Merced River. Man, is there heaps of amusing stuff to do close to Eagle Peak Trail. Eagle Peak Trail is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, Lower River Campground is a perfect local campground, and Leidig Meadow is right here at Eagle Peak Trail.
Now, you may assume that's plenty but there's even more amusing things to do here in the Central Sierra Nevada. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Yosemite Creek, and a short journey to Upper Yosemite Falls is always worthwhile. Eagle Peak Creek flows through this region, and Yosemite National Park is a brilliant national park.
