California hiking trails - Dry Lake Trail, San Bernardino Mountains, San Bernardino County

   
  There are numerous hiking trails in California, and each one has its own unique attractiveness. Dry Lake Trail is a long drive away from Riverside-San Bernardino-Ontario, but when you spend some time backcountry backpacking here you will feel like a whole new person. California has plenty of great hiking trails; one of them being Dry Lake Trail in San Bernardino County. Dry Lake Trail is many miles long having an average number of uphill miles which makes it a tremendous backpacking trail for experienced hikers in great shape. Different parts of this
    trail are at very different elevations which of course means you need to be prepared for different conditions on different parts of the trail. Don’t forget to check for any current restrictions or closures before you go. We all need to get out in the outdoors once in a while, and
Dry Lake Trail in San Bernardino County, California is the outdoors at its best. Summertime highs at Dry Lake Trail mostly tend to be in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's. During the wintertime the highs are generally in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Dry Lake Trail are in the 20's. The wilderness hiking trails of the San Bernardino Mountains are a magnificent way to explore these hills. This is one of many backpacking trails in the surrounding vicinity. With its 9.4 miles of walking distance; it's a long trail.  
This region does get very dry sometimes, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. This backcountry trek shouldn't take more than 8.5 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. This is a backpacking trail that is quite long, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies. California has so much to offer nature lovers. This hiking and backpacking trail has a total elevation difference of 2,270 feet which is about average. There is only one trailhead, so you'll be backcountry backpacking it in and back out. Dry Lake Trail gets a typical amount of yearly precipitation; the month of January is the wettest with most of the rain, and June is when it's the driest. Backcountry trekking in California is a magnificent idea.

Dry Lake Trail is a delightful place to visit for more than one day, Camp Mile High Pines is a delightful place to camp nearby, and Aspen Grove is a brilliant forest region nearby. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting things in the San Bernardino Mountains. If you're stopping by Dry Lake Trail from Riverside-San Bernardino-Ontario, you won't be the only one.
Don't try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a brilliant time here at Dry Lake Trail. It's always wonderful to check out Lodgepole Spring, and Oso-Lobo Campground is a tremendous campground nearby. All year is a brilliant time in the San Bernardino Mountains if you go for the outdoors. Visit High Creek since you're here at Dry Lake Trail, and a spree to Red Rock Flat rejuvenates the spirit. Lost Creek is a lovely stream that is worth a visit; South Fork Meadows is a brilliant place.
A visit to Mine Shaft Saddle is always fun, and High Meadow Springs is a nice local attraction.
