about the general area: No way I can stop, cause I'm havin' a delightful time here at Dry Creek Trail. Dry Creek Trail is great enough to spend more than a day at, Slaughterhouse Island Campground is a great local campground; while you're here you will meet lots of folks from
nearby Redding. Digger Bay is not far from Dry Creek Trail at all, and hey, Butcher Creek is a great local stream. A journey to Whiskeytown National Recreation Area is worthwhile, and why not have a look at Shasta Dam while you're here. In the event that you don’t have a problem
getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Clear Creek Sacramento Tributary, and if you wish for a little side visit, try Shoemaker Gulch. Shoemaker Spring is an inspiring location to check out during your stay; why not a little side visit to Squaw Creek. A pleasant location to camp here at Dry Creek Trail is Gooseneck Cove Campground.
