Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. Devil Canyon Trail has only one trailhead, so in and out is the way to trek it normally. Keep in mind that this is a long backpacking trail, so don't forget to pack enough supplies. The total elevation difference for Devil Canyon Trail is 2,574 feet which is a higher than average number. Different parts of Devil Canyon Trail are at very different elevations, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations. Be careful coming to the Sierra Madre, you might not ever wanna return home again. Everybody loves Oak Flats, and if you came for an overnight stay Lake Piru is a nice site to camp. Getting to Agua Blanca Creek from Devil Canyon Trail is trouble-free, and why not camp at Blue Point Campground while you're here at Devil Canyon Trail. That right there is heaps of exciting things already but it goes on, the Sierra Madre has it all. Looking for some flowing water? Try Michael Creek, and Violin Summit is a great location to explore.
A journey to Big Oak Flat invigorates the soul, and Piru Creek is a great whitewater spot nearby. This spot is peerless, just explore all the amusing things to do near Devil Canyon Trail. In case you don’t mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Piru Creek; a short spree to Fisher Spring is always worthwhile.
