This is a backcountry trail that is quite long, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies. Every California wilderness hiking trail has its own unique splendor. Deep Creek Trail has only one trailhead, so you'll be backcountry hiking it
    in and back out. Summer brings highs in the 90's to Deep Creek Trail. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 50's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Deep Creek Trail. Time to get out, and breathe some fresh
air, and Deep Creek Trail in Fresno County, California is just what you need. Deep Creek Trail is a wilderness hiking trail quite far from Fresno, but if you're looking for a tremendous place to go backcountry trekking, this is a tremendous choice. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in place. This great outdoors trail is a normal length great outdoors trail having an average number of uphill miles which makes this a very tough hiking trail for advanced walkers looking for a wonderful challenge. This great outdoors trail has  
a total elevation difference of 1,608 feet, and that is about average. This backpacking and hiking trail goes through some very different elevations, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations. Backcountry backpacking here in the Central Sierra Nevada is a really magnificent way to spend quality time in the outdoors. Not much rain falls here at Deep Creek Trail; the wettest month of the year is regularly January, that's the one that rains the most, and July is the month with the least moisture. The time needed for this backcountry trek is roughly 7 hours, but of course some people walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. Being 8 miles long it's a mid length hike. The number of hiking trails in this vicinity is not very high. Sometimes this backcountry trail gets really dry, so make sure you check current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you head out.

Briefly about the general area:
Just can't get enough of Deep Creek Trail. Some close by water includes Nutmeg Creek. There's so much to do here at Deep Creek Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Cats Head Campground is a perfect location for that; there are some tremendous whitewater spots on Big Creek Kings River Tributary.
If you came to camp Oakie Bear Campground is a delightful location to do that; everyone loves Bobs Flat. All the outdoors cool things in the Central Sierra Nevada will keep you coming back over and over. While staying at Deep Creek Trail you could always explore Blue Canyon, and Soaproot Flat is a great place here at Deep Creek Trail. A spree to Cole Spring will fill your spirit with pleasant feelings, and Rush Creek is near Deep Creek Trail and is always a pleasure to explore.
