in one place! The Coast Ranges is excellent! During your visit to Dan East Trail you'll meet some people from Eureka-Arcata-Fortuna for sure; camping at Slide Creek Campground is always a magnificent experience. A pleasant journey to Waterbarrel Opening is a good way to spend an
afternoon. Whitewater paddling is wonderful on Trinity River - South Fork; obviously Dan East Creek is a beautiful stream that is worth taking a look at. While you're here at Dan East Trail it's a good idea to stop by Smith Opening; Dan East Trail is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Blake Spring Campground is a pleasant local campground.
