This backcountry hike shouldn't take more than 3 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. This is a two-ended trail with two trailheads, so if you can get a ride from someone, you can hike it just one way. At parts of the year this region sees very little rain, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go. Dan East Trail is 3.2 miles long it's a short backcountry trail. The total elevation difference for this trail is 2,406 feet which is an average number. This is not a very long hiking and backpacking trail but you should still bring some emergency supplies just in case something happens. Some parts of this backcountry trail are much higher up than other parts of the backcountry trail, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations.
