    County, California is a magnificent pick. Dan East Trail is on the short side having an average number of uphill miles which makes this backcountry trail nice for the average trekker looking for an amusing adventure. The total elevation difference for this great outdoors trail
is 2,406 feet which is about average. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in spot. Dan East Trail is a wet location that gets a good deal of rain; through December this neighborhood sees the most rain while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. The time needed for this trek is roughly 3 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. This is just one of a large number of backcountry trails in this vicinity. There are two trailheads to chose from, one in  
each end, so if you can get a ride from someone, you can backcountry trek it just one way. Different parts of this trail are at very different elevations, and that means that some parts of the trail could be very different from other parts of it. At parts of the year this neighborhood sees very little rain, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. The gorgeous backpacking and hiking trails of the Coast Ranges are a very great way to see these mountains. Trekking in California is a brilliant way to spend some time. Summertime brings highs in the 90's to Dan East Trail while nighttime lows are mostly in the 50's. All through the winter highs are mostly in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Dan East Trail. With its 3.2 miles of walking distance it's a shorter type backcountry trek.

Briefly about the general area:
Dan East Trail is great enough to spend more than a day at, Slide Creek Campground is a great local campground; a perfect site for whitewater paddling is Trinity River - South Fork. Waterbarrel Opening is a pretty site any time of year; do visit Dan East Creek while you're here at Dan East Trail.
Whohoo, so many cool things in one place! The Coast Ranges is so good! There's so much to do here at Dan East Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Blake Spring Campground is a fine location for that, and at Dan East Trail you always meet someone from Eureka-Arcata-Fortuna. A pleasant spree to Smith Opening is a splendid way to spend an afternoon.
