The picturesque backpacking and hiking trails of the Coast Ranges are a very fine way to see these peaks. This hiking and backpacking trail has a total elevation difference of 688 feet which is lower than average. This is one of many wilderness trails in the surrounding vicinity.
You should count on this hike taking about 5.5 hours, but of course some people walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. During the months of summer at Crea Trail highs are regularly in the 60's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Throughout the wintertime
this location gets highs in the 50's, and nighttime lows at Crea Trail all through the wintertime ordinarily fall into the 30's. This backcountry hiking trail sometimes gets very dry, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go.
Briefly about
the general area: Man, is there a lot of fun stuff to do in the Coast Ranges. Gold Bluffs Beach is near Crea Trail and is a pretty beach to explore; Fern Canyon is close by, and is a brilliant place. Little Creek flows through this area. There's so much to do here at Crea Trail
that you need to camp here for a while, Blackberry Patch RV Park is a magnificent location for that. If you're here at Crea Trail, you could check out Brown Creek, and there are some brilliant whitewater spots on Klamath River. You'll need more than a day to explore everything
Crea Trail has to offer, you can camp at Klamath Glen Resort, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Redwood Creek. And that's not all you can do here at Crea Trail. At Crea Trail you always meet someone from Crescent City North.
