At Coyote Trail throughout the summer highs are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 60's with temperatures at Coyote Trail dipping down into the 40's through winter nights. Different parts of this hiking trail
are at very different elevations, and that means that some parts of the hiking trail could be very different from other parts of it. Wilderness hiking trails like this one here in the Sierra Madre are the best way to enjoy these summits. Coyote Trail is commonly a reasonably dried

camp Lake Casitas Recreation Area is a glorious place to do that, and you can spend the day on the beach at Rincon Beach. A great place near Coyote Trail is East Casitas Pass, and some of the water nearby flows, like West Fork Coyote Creek.
