Copper Trail has a total elevation difference of 954 feet which is a lower than average number. You spend the whole trek in roughly the same elevation zone which means the conditions are about the same from start to finish. The time needed for this backcountry walk is roughly 2.5 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. Sometimes this backpacking trail gets really dry, so make sure you check current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you head out. Even though this is not a very long backpacking trail you should still bring some emergency supplies just in case something happens. Copper Trail is 2.8 miles long it's a short wilderness hiking trail. Copper Trail has two trailheads which means you have the option of hiking it one way if you have someone to pick you up at the other end.
