California hiking trails - Copper Trail, Siskiyou Mountains, Siskiyou County

   
  Copper Trail is a long journey away from Medford, but there's tremendous natural splendor right here for you along it. While visiting this area in California it's an excellent idea to go backcountry backpacking too. Time to get out, and breathe some fresh air, and Copper Trail in Siskiyou County, California is a really tremendous place to spend some time. There are two trailheads to chose from, one in each end which means you have the option of backpacking it one way if you have someone to pick you up at the other end. The total elevation difference
    for Copper Trail is 954 feet which is lower than average. With its 2.8 miles of walking distance it's shorter than many hiking trails. The time needed for this backcountry hike is roughly 2.5 hours, but of course some folks walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. Even though this
is not a very long backpacking and hiking trail you should still bring some emergency supplies just in case something happens. Tremendous hiking trails in California are in abundance, and Copper Trail in Siskiyou County is one of them. Every California hiking trail has its own unique splendor. Copper Trail is commonly a relatively dried out place; December is when you get the most rain here while July is commonly the driest month. There's not much difference in elevation along the hiking trail, so you won’t have to worry about different climate zones  
along your hike. Hiking trails like this one here in the Siskiyou Mountains are the best way to enjoy these highlands. This trail is on the short side having an average number of uphill miles which makes it a nice backpacking trail for the average person looking for a nice adventure. Going for a backcountry trek here in California is so much fun. There are not too many backpacking trails in this vicinity. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Copper Trail while nighttime lows are ordinarily in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Copper Trail. At parts of the year this vicinity sees very little rain, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go.

Briefly about the general area:
There's so much to do here at Copper Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Waiiaka Trailer Haven is a good place for that, and there's whitewater on Klamath River for all you adrenaline junkies. All the outdoors exciting things in the Siskiyou Mountains will keep you coming back repeatedly. Bear Creek is in close proximity to Copper Trail and is always a pleasure to pop by. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Copper Trail has to offer, you can camp at Tree of Heaven Campground.
