Coast Trail has a total elevation difference of 1,275 feet which is about average. The warmest time of the year at Coast Trail comes with high temperatures in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. Throughout the winter highs are ordinarily in the 50's while Coast Trail nighttime low temperatures during the winter are in the 30's. You spend the whole backcountry trek in  
roughly the same elevation zone, so you won’t have to worry about different climate zones along your backcountry trek. At parts of the year this vicinity sees very little rain, so make sure you check current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you head out. This is a one trailhead hiking trail, so you're looking at an in and out hike. With its 19.6 miles of walking distance; it's considered a longer backcountry trek. Coast Trail is a hiking trail of fine length having an average number of uphill miles which makes this great outdoors hiking trail fine for hard core backpackers looking for adventure. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in site. This is just one of a large number of great outdoors hiking trails in this neighborhood.

Whohoo, so much fun stuff in one place! Coast Trail is peerless! Jepson Memorial Grove is a nice local forest, and Alamere Falls is an inspiring site to have a look at while you're here. Nothing beats kicking back at Santa Maria Beach; Sky Campground is a perfect campground nearby.
Take a side tour to Coast Creek, and a pleasant site to stop at close by is Bear Valley. Do schedule some time to explore Point Resistance in the vicinity of Coast Trail if you have a chance, and swing by Santa Maria Creek it's a glorious place to stop by. If you came for an overnight stay Coast Campground is a good site to camp, and Divide Meadow is right here at Coast Trail.
Hit the beach if you want, Sculptured Beach is practically right here, and Muddy Hollow is a tremendous place here at Coast Trail. Don't miss out on a visit to Point Reyes National Seashore if you're here at Coast Trail, and at Bear Valley Dam near Coast Trail there are some exciting things to see. The beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Crystal Springs.
