Coast Trail has only one trailhead, so you'll be backcountry trekking it in and back out. Coast Trail is 19.6 miles long; it's considered a longer backcountry walk. This backpacking and hiking trail sometimes gets very dry, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. Coast Trail stays roughly within the same elevation zone the whole time which means the conditions are about the same from start to finish. This is a long backpacking and hiking trail, so don't forget to pack enough supplies. The total elevation difference for Coast Trail is 1,275 feet which is an average number.
