are in the 60's with temperatures at Cactus Spring Trail dipping down into the 40's during winter nights. This area does get very dry sometimes, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go. This hiking trail has a total elevation difference of 4,178 feet, and that is higher than average. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. Cactus Spring Trail is quite distant from the most adjacent town, and backcountry trekking along this wilderness hiking trail is very amusing. Of course, this is an overnight backcountry trek, 4.5 days normally, so it's a glorious thing if your backpack is big enough to do the job. This is one of a very small number of backpacking and hiking trails in this region. When was the last time you got out in the great outdoors a bit? Put some time aside to spend at Agua Alta Spring since you're here at Cactus Spring Trail, and a pleasant journey to Little Pinyon Flat is a splendid way to spend an afternoon.
This is no site for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. Cactus Spring is a great local attraction; if you came for an overnight stay Pinyon Flat Campground is a fine place to camp. You just must fancy the Santa Rosa Mountains. Don't forget to take a great little journey to Guadalupe Creek; why not camp at Stump Spring Campground if you're here at Cactus Spring Trail. It's a delightful idea to pop by Horsethief Creek, it's near Cactus Spring Trail, and if you have the time, Joshua Tree National Park is a national park worth going to.
A splendid site to have a look at in the vicinity of Cactus Spring Trail is Black Rabbit Canyon, and a wooded region nearby is Upper Willows.
