Briefly about the general area: If you like the outdoors, you'll have a thing about Cactus Spring Trail. Pinyon Alta Flat is a glorious site to stretch your legs a bit, and a great forest close by is Upper Willows. You absolutely have to adore the Santa Rosa Mountains.

came for an overnight stay Stump Spring Campground is a fine place to camp. Man, is there a heap of cool stuff to do in the Santa Rosa Mountains. It's always good to stop by Cactus Spring. Black Rabbit Canyon is a good site to explore close by, and don't leave Cactus Spring Trail without first paying a visit to Agua Alta Spring.
