California hiking trails - Burnt Peak Trail, Sierra Madre, Los Angeles County       There are many great wilderness trails in California; one of them being Burnt Peak Trail in Los Angeles County. Around Burnt Peak Trail you don’t get a lot of rainfall; during February this area sees the most rain, and July on the other hand is the driest. This is an area covered with lots of hiking trails. Throughout the months of summer at Burnt Peak Trail temperatures are frequently in the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's generally in the 60's. During the winter highs are in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Burnt Peak Trail. This great outdoors trail has a total elevation difference of 2,196 feet, and that is about average. Briefly about the general area: You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors entertaining things the area near Burnt Peak Trail has to offer. Camping at Atmore Meadows Campground is always a brilliant experience, and soar down the rapids of Piru Creek in a kayak. There's some flowing water close by, Fish Creek is a stream you can go to while you're here; Atmore Meadows is a fine place. Since you're here at Burnt Peak Trail why not go to Lion Canyon, and a journey to Necktie Basin rejuvenates the spirit. If you adore the outdoors you'll adore it here in the Sierra Madre. Burnt Peak Trail is great enough to spend more than a day at, Sawmill Campground is a great local campground, and Cienaga Spring is always fun to check out.
