is a great local campground; Fir Camp Saddle is also a pleasant place to explore.
Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Brush Creek, and a forest close by is Deer Creek Grove. There are some good whitewater spots on Kern River, and don’t
forget to have a look at Poison Meadow while you're here at Bull Run Cattle Drive. You'll meet a lot of folks from Bakersfield here, and a spree to Bull Run Cattle Drive wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Cold Spring.
