At parts of the year this vicinity sees very little rain, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. Bear Creek Campground is a tremendous local campground, and paddling on Stony Creek is so much fun. So many exciting things in the vicinity of Bucknell Trail, just astonishing. Royal Spring is an inspiring spot to go to while you're here.
Wild Bill Creek is a good local stream, and Bucknell Trail is near Swede Canyon which is without doubt worth stopping at. And if that's not enough there's a lot more cool things to do in the Klamath Mountains. During your trip to Bucknell Trail you'll meet some people from Clearlake for sure, and everybody loves Richardson Glade. If you came for an overnight stay Mill Valley Campground is a pleasant location to camp, and swing by Twin Valley it's a great location to have a look at.
