The total elevation difference for Bucknell Trail is 1,210 feet which is about average. With its 4.6 miles of walking distance it's an average length wilderness trail. There are two trailheads to chose from, one in each end, so if you can get a ride from someone, you can backcountry trek it just one way. There's not much difference in elevation along the wilderness trail which means the conditions are about the same from start to finish. At parts of the year this region sees very little rain, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. The time needed for this trek is roughly 4 hours, but of course some people walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. This backpacking and hiking trail is not that long but you should still bring some emergency supplies just in case something happens.
