California hiking trails - Bucknell Trail, Klamath Mountains, Lake County

   
  A long journey separates Clearlake from Bucknell Trail, but it's one of those places where backcountry backpacking is glorious. While visiting this region in California it's a nice idea to go backcountry hiking too. There are backcountry trails all over California, and Bucknell Trail is one of them, and it's in Lake County. Every California backcountry trail has its own character. This is one of many wilderness hiking trails in the surrounding region. This walk shouldn't take more than 4 hours, but of course some people walk a bit slower and some a bit
    faster. This is a two-ended hiking trail with two trailheads, so backcountry trekking it one way is an option if you can arrange for a ride back. There's not much difference in elevation along the backpacking and hiking trail, so you won’t have to worry about different climate
zones along your backcountry trek. Hiking here in California is the nice thing to do. These trails here in the Klamath Mountains are a nice way to explore these peaks. A typical amount of precipitation falls here at Bucknell Trail; through the month of January you get the most rain around here while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Even though this is not a very long great outdoors trail you should still bring some emergency supplies just in case something happens. This hiking trail has a total elevation difference of 1,210 feet  
which is about average. When was the last time you got out in nature a bit? Bucknell Trail in Lake County, California is just the place. Summer brings highs in the 90's to Bucknell Trail. Summer night lows descend down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 50's with temperatures at Bucknell Trail dipping down into the 30's all through winter nights. Bucknell Trail is 4.6 miles long it's a mid length backcountry trek. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. Bucknell Trail is a normal length trail having an average number of uphill miles which makes this wilderness hiking trail perfect for the average backcountry walker looking for a fun adventure. At parts of the year this region sees very little rain, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go.

Briefly about the general area:
So many enjoyable things near Bucknell Trail, definitely incredible. Twin Valley is a scenic stream that is worth stopping at. A great site to explore right next door to Bucknell Trail is Swede Canyon It's always nice to stop by Royal Spring.
This river is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Stony Creek, and camping is available at Mill Valley Campground. Just can't get enough of the Klamath Mountains. Take a side tour to Wild Bill Creek, and you'll probably meet some folks from Clearlake here. Places like Richardson Glade are great to explore, and why not camp at Bear Creek Campground while you're here at Bucknell Trail.
