This trail has two trailheads which means you have the option of hiking it one way if you have someone to pick you up at the other end. Bucklin Trail has a total elevation difference of 1,314 feet which is an average number. Being 3.4 miles long it's a shorter type backcountry trek. You should count on this walk taking about 3 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. You spend the whole backcountry trek in roughly the same elevation zone, so you won’t have to worry about different climate zones along your backcountry trek. This is not a very long backcountry hiking trail but it's always nice to bring some emergency supplies, you never know what could happen. This area does get very dry sometimes, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go.
