50's. During the winter highs are in the 60's, and winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Buckhorn Trail. This is a wilderness hiking trail that is quite long, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies. Buckhorn Trail is pretty dried up mostly; February is when you get the most rain here while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. The length of this backpacking trail is about average with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this hiking trail splendid for hard core backpackers looking for adventure. With its 7 miles  
of walking distance it's an average length great outdoors hiking trail. Spending too much time indoors got you down? No problem, Buckhorn Trail in Santa Barbara County, California is an outstanding site to go. Sometimes this wilderness hiking trail gets really dry, so make sure you check current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you head out. There are so many hiking trails in this region. This hike shouldn't take more than 6 hours, but of course some people walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. This part of California is always a bliss to go to during backpacking season. Don’t forget to check for any current restrictions or closures before you go. Hiking here in the Sierra Madre is the best way to enjoy these mountaintops. There is only one trailhead, so you're looking at an in and out hike. Buckhorn Trail has a total elevation difference of 1,939 feet which is about average.

Just can't get enough of the Sierra Madre. Looking for a tremendous spree? Channel Islands National Park is reasonably near Buckhorn Trail, and camping at Buck Campground is always a great experience. Places like Hidden Potrero are good to take a look at; a short journey to Little Pine Spring is always worthwhile.
Some of the water close by flows, like Buckhorn Creek; since you're here you will meet lots of people from nearby Santa Barbara-Santa Maria-Goleta. Nineteen Oaks is a perfect place to check out, and a good place to camp here at Buckhorn Trail is Hollow Tree Campground. All the outdoors entertaining things close to Buckhorn Trail will keep you coming back over and over.
