for adventure. This vicinity does get very dry sometimes, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. You should count on this backcountry walk taking about 6 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. Buckhorn Trail is mostly a reasonably dry spot; the month with most of the rain is February, and July is the month with the least moisture. There are so many backpacking and hiking trails in this area. Buckhorn Trail goes through some very different elevations which of course means you need to be prepared for different conditions on different parts of the hiking trail. The total elevation difference for this wilderness hiking trail is 1,939 feet which is about average.

Lots of people from Santa Barbara-Santa Maria-Goleta come to Buckhorn Trail, and there's some flowing water nearby, Buckhorn Creek is a stream you can check out while you're here. Buckhorn Trail is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Buck Campground is a splendid local campground, and don’t forget to stop at Nineteen Oaks since you're here at Buckhorn Trail.
Just can't get enough of the Sierra Madre. Camping at Hollow Tree Campground is always a great experience, and Little Pine Spring is always fun to check out. Having a fine time at Buckhorn Trail is uncomplicated. All our national parks are glorious places to check out, and Channel Islands National Park is no exception, and Hidden Potrero is a fine location here at Buckhorn Trail.
