all through the wintertime are normally in the 50's, and overnight lows at Bolema Trail all through the wintertime regularly dip into the 30's. Don’t forget to check for any current restrictions or closures before you go. This great outdoors hiking trail has only one trailhead, so you'll be backcountry hiking it in and back out. You spend the whole trek in roughly the same elevation zone, so you get pretty much the same conditions along the whole trail. California is a good place for outdoors people. Briefly about the general area:
One of the best things about Bolema Trail is its proximity to Wildcat Beach, and a visit to Bolema Trail wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Crystal Springs. There's some attention-grabbing stuff to spot at Mill Pond Dam in the neighborhood of Bolema Trail, and swing by Devils Gulch Creek it's a great spot to visit.
There's so much to do here at Bolema Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Lower Campground is a good place for that, and stopping by Point Reyes National Seashore is just something you need to do if you haven't yet. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. Spend the day on the beach at Palomarin Beach while you're here at Bolema Trail. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Bolema Trail has to offer, you can camp at Glen Campground. Paradise Valley is a nice location, and Abalone Point is not far at all.
Cottinham Gulch is a nice spot to check out in the neighborhood of Bolema Trail, and hey, Alamere Creek is a tremendous local stream. Divide Meadow is a tremendous place to check out, and a short visit to Alamere Falls is always worthwhile.
