hike, 1.5 days normally, so make sure you've got all your overnight gear packed. With its 10.6 miles of walking distance; it's considered a longer walk. There are not too many trails in this vicinity. This backcountry trail is a backcountry trail of magnificent length with an average
amount of climbing distance which makes this a very tough trail for advanced backcountry walkers looking for an excellent challenge. This vicinity does get very dry sometimes, so make sure you check current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you
head out. This is a backpacking and hiking trail that is quite long, so do pack enough food to last the whole trip.
Briefly about the general area:
Cats Head Campground is a nice local campground, and Watts Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth taking
a look at. Cherry Flat is right here at Bobs Flat Trail, and close by Blue Canyon is a splendid location to go.
Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. Don't leave Bobs Flat Trail without first paying a visit to Cole Spring. If you don't mind getting covered with water,
you can always go whitewater paddling on Sycamore Creek, and there's some flowing water close by, Sycamore Creek is a stream you can visit while here. These mountains rock, just look at all the exciting things to do in the Central Sierra Nevada. If you came for an overnight stay Lombardo's Lakeview Resort is a pleasant site to camp, and a visit to Bobs Flat revitalizes the soul.
