of the rain is January, and the driest month of the year is July. This trek shouldn't take more than 5.5 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. Bluford Trail has a total elevation difference of 2,510 feet which is higher
than average. Summertime brings highs in the 90's to Bluford Trail. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 40's, and after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Bluford
Trail sink into the 30's. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in place. Bluford Trail is a normal length wilderness trail with an average amount of climbing distance which makes it a fine great outdoors hiking trail for experienced backcountry walkers
in glorious shape. This is one of a very small number of great outdoors hiking trails in this region.
Briefly about the general area: Deer Lick Springs is always fun to check out, and paddling on Beegum Creek is so much fun. If you came for an overnight stay Basin Gulch
Campgrounds is a fine spot to camp, and Cottonwood Creek - Middle Fork has a great whitewater paddling spot nearby. Don't stop me now, cause I'm havin' a great time here at Bluford Trail. Beegum Gorge Campground is a brilliant local campground. If you want a great time in the
great outdoors just come on up to the Klamath Mountains. Some nearby water includes Chanchelulla Creek, and you could always explore Bluford Gulch. Anderson Point is near Bluford Trail and is a splendid spot to go to, and if you haven’t been to Whiskeytown National Recreation Area, you should schedule some time for it if you're here.
