California hiking trails - Blake Trail, Coast Ranges, Humboldt County

This is one of many hiking and backpacking trails in the surrounding vicinity. Blake Trail is 9 miles long it's a mid length backcountry trek. There are hiking and backpacking trails all over California; Blake Trail in Humboldt County is one of them. The
    length of Blake Trail is about average with an average amount of climbing distance which makes it a fine hiking and backpacking trail for experienced walkers in great shape. Blake Trail is a two ended backcountry hiking trail with two trailheads, so hiking it one way is an option
if you can arrange for a ride back. Now this wilderness hiking trail is pretty long, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies. Sometimes this wilderness hiking trail gets really dry, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go. Through the summer months at Blake Trail highs are typically in the 90's, and the nighttime is slightly chillier of course, commonly in the 50's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are commonly in the 40's, and nighttime lows throughout the wintertime for Blake Trail tend to be in the 30's. The  
high level of precipitation makes Blake Trail a rather wet site; all through the month of December you get the most rain around here, and July is the month with the least moisture. This backcountry hiking trail has a total elevation difference of 3,420 feet which is a higher than average number. The great outdoors hiking trails of the Coast Ranges are a very brilliant way to see these hills. Different parts of Blake Trail are at very different elevations, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations. Here in the brilliant state of California backcountry trekking never gets boring. You should count on this trek taking about 8 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. A lengthy journey parts Eureka-Arcata-Fortuna from Blake Trail, but backcountry trekking it is always fun. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping.

Briefly about the general area:
So much amusing stuff to do in the Coast Ranges, not sufficient time. A fine place like Carson Opening here at Blake Trail is too splendid to miss, and a tour to Pistol Spring will fill your soul with good feelings. Camping at Slide Creek Campground is always a pleasant experience; you must definitely dedicate some time to Day Opening if you're here at Blake Trail.
If you came to camp Blake Spring Campground is a fine site to do that; Trinity River - South Fork is a tremendous whitewater spot close by. If you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Mad River; you might also want to pay a visit to Lucy Gulch while you're here at Blake Trail.
This site, the Coast Ranges, has so much outdoors fun things. East Creek flows through this region, and you'll in all probability meet some people from Eureka-Arcata-Fortuna here. If you want a wonderful time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Blake Trail. A quick spree to Owl Creek near Blake Trail is a good idea, and the beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Mud Spring.
