Briefly about the general area: This spot, the Coast Ranges, has so much outdoors amusing things. While you're here at Blake Trail it's a great idea to pop by Carson Opening; Mad River has a splendid whitewater paddling spot close by. A pleasant
spree to Day Opening is a great way to spend an afternoon, and don't leave Blake Trail without first paying a visit to Mud Spring. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable things at Blake Trail. Camping at Blake Spring Campground is always a delightful
experience; don't forget to take a tremendous little journey to Owl Creek. If you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Trinity River - South Fork; since you're here why not go to Lucy Gulch. It's a wonderful idea to take a look at East Creek,
it's next to Blake Trail, and a spree to Pistol Spring will fill your soul with great feelings. So much cool stuff to do in the Coast Ranges, not enough time. Camping is available at Slide Creek Campground; you'll in all probability meet some folks from Eureka-Arcata-Fortuna here.
