California hiking trails - Big Valley Trail, Northern Sierra Nevada, Placer County

   
  If you happen to be in California, why not go hiking, it is a wonderful way to spend some time. While visiting this region in California it's a great idea to go hiking too. Big Valley Trail is located a relatively lengthy journey from Truckee-Grass Valley, but it is one of many wonderful hiking trails in this region. At parts of the year this vicinity sees very little rain, so make sure you check current conditions
    and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you head out. All the water falling down from the sky makes Big Valley Trail a wet place; all through the month of January you get the most rain around here, and July on the other hand is the driest. Summertime highs at
Big Valley Trail mostly tend to be in the 80's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 40's. Highs all through the winter are commonly in the 40's, and nighttime lows at Big Valley Trail all through the winter commonly fall into the 20's. Being 5.6 miles long it's an average length hiking and backpacking trail. The total elevation difference for Big Valley Trail is 1,052 feet which is an average number. This is one of many backpacking and hiking trails in the surrounding neighborhood. This backcountry hike shouldn't take  
more than 5 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. This hiking trail is a normal length hiking trail with an average amount of climbing distance which makes it a great backpacking and hiking trail for the average person looking for a great adventure. This is not a very long backpacking and hiking trail but you should still bring some emergency supplies just in case something happens. Every California wilderness trail is well worth a hike. Big Valley Trail is a two ended backpacking trail with two trailheads, so if you can get a ride from someone, you can backcountry trek it just one way. There's not much difference in elevation along Big Valley Trail, so you won’t have to worry about different climate zones along your walk. Ok, you've been cooped up too long, time to get out in the wilderness a bit, and Big Valley Trail in Placer County, California is a wonderful place for getting out. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. Backpacking here in the Northern Sierra Nevada is a very delightful way to see these hills.

Yeah, come up here to the Northern Sierra Nevada for a great time. Camping is available at Silver Tip Campground, and paddling on Fordyce Creek is so much fun. There's just no way somebody can get bored here at Big Valley Trail. There are plenty of folks from Truckee-Grass Valley here at Big Valley Trail.
Meadow Spring is a pretty place to have a look at while you're at Big Valley Trail, and whitewater paddling is great on Yuba River - South Fork. Big Valley is right here at Big Valley Trail; while you're here, you might as well explore Big Valley Canyon. A splendid place like Mears Meadow here at Big Valley Trail is too nice to miss; camping at Kelly Lake Campground is always a delightful experience.
