This hiking trail has a total elevation difference of 289 feet which is lower than average. The time needed for this walk is roughly 2 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. There is only one trailhead, so you'll be backcountry hiking it in and back out. Big Spring Trail stays roughly within the same elevation zone the whole time, so you get pretty much the same conditions along the whole hiking and backpacking trail. Big Spring Trail is 2.2 miles long it's shorter than many hiking and backpacking trails. This vicinity does get very dry sometimes, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go. Even though this is not a very long backpacking and hiking trail you should still bring some emergency supplies just in case something happens.
