down to the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 40's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Big Granite Trail descend into the 30's. This backcountry trail has a total elevation difference of 3,896 feet which is higher than average. This hike should take you about 2.5 days, so better have big backpack to fit all the stuff you need. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in spot. Each great outdoors trail in California is different from the others. This backcountry trail has only one trailhead, so you're looking at an in and out backcountry hike. Keep in mind that this is a long hiking trail, so do pack enough food to last the whole trip. This great outdoors hiking trail is a great outdoors hiking trail of fine length having an average number of uphill miles which makes this wilderness hiking trail good for hard core backpackers looking for adventure.

So much amusing stuff to do at Big Granite Trail, so little time. Do set aside some time for Pelham Flat if you're here at Big Granite Trail; Tadpole Spring is an inspiring place to stop by during your stay. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors fun things the Northern Sierra Nevada has to offer. Getting to Big Granite Creek from Big Granite Trail is trouble-free, and don't leave Big Granite Trail without first paying a visit to Skunk Spring.
You'll meet a lot of folks from Truckee-Grass Valley here, and why not take a little trip to Little Granite Creek since you're here. Robinsons Flat Campground is a great local campground, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Yuba River - South Fork. Whohoo, so much exciting stuff in one place! The Northern Sierra Nevada is so good! If you came for an overnight stay Tadpole Campground is a great site to camp; why not stop by Ford Point also while you're here.
While you're here at Big Granite Trail it's a tremendous idea to stop at Big Valley; a splendid location to stop by is Little Granite Canyon.
