Summertime at Ben Johnson Trail arrives with high temperatures in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 50's. This hiking and backpacking trail has a total elevation difference of 1,350 feet which is an average number. Enjoy a lazy day on the beach at Red Rock Beach, and the beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Lone Tree Spring. The sights at Muir Woods National Monument will blow your mind; Pine Point is close at hand and always wonderful to take a look at.
Just can't get enough of Ben Johnson Trail. Rattlesnake Creek flows through this vicinity, and places like Van Wyck Meadow are delightful to check out. You don't have to go far from Ben Johnson Trail to enjoy Cathedral Grove, and Double Bowknot is a tremendous spot. A journey to Ben Johnson Trail wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Kent Falls, and you can hit the beach if you want, Muir Beach is practically right here.
Here at Ben Johnson Trail there are plenty of folks from San Francisco-Oakland-Fremont, also Cascade Dam is worth visiting if you're here. So much exciting stuff to do at Ben Johnson Trail, so little time. Why not camp at Haypress Campground if you're here at Ben Johnson Trail, and let's not forget Spike Buck Creek which is a stream that you may come across while here.
Camping is available at Laurel Dell Campground, and nearby Kent Canyon is a magnificent location to go.
