California hiking trails - Ben Duncan Mailbox Trail, Coast Ranges, Trinity County

There's not much difference in elevation along the hiking and backpacking trail which means the conditions are about the same from start to finish. This great outdoors trail is a mid length great outdoors trail with an average amount of climbing distance which
    makes this backcountry hiking trail wonderful for hard core backpackers looking for adventure. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Ben Duncan Mailbox Trail. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. For the duration
of the winter this site gets highs in the 40's, and overnight lows in the 30's for Ben Duncan Mailbox Trail. Sometimes this backcountry hiking trail gets really dry, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. Ben Duncan Mailbox Trail is a wet site that gets a lot of precipitation; during December this neighborhood sees the most rain while July is usually the driest month. You should count on this trek taking about 6.5 hours, but of course some folks walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. With  
its 7.4 miles of walking distance it's an average length hiking and backpacking trail. These great outdoors trails here in the Coast Ranges are a really perfect way to spend quality time in the outdoors. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. There are two trailheads to chose from, one in each end, so if you can get a ride from someone, you can trek it just one way. Finally, backcountry hiking time is here again, and Ben Duncan Mailbox Trail in Trinity County, California is just the site. As long as you like the outdoors you will like California. Ben Duncan Mailbox Trail is quite long, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies. The number of backcountry hiking trails in this region is not very high. Why not camp at Bailey Canyon Campground since you're here at Ben Duncan Mailbox Trail, and Hoaglin Valley is definitely a wonderful site to stop at. It's always great to pop by Schoolhouse Spring.
Paddling on Eel River - North Fork is so much fun; it's a good idea to pop by Cottonwood Creek. Now, you may think that's plenty but there's even more amusing stuff to do here in the Coast Ranges. Camping is available at Fern Campground, and since you're here, you could stop at Gypsy Creek.
