Camping at Bailey Canyon Campground is always a fine experience, and let's not forget Gypsy Creek which is a stream that you may come across while here. Ben Duncan Mailbox Trail is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Fern Campground is a nice local campground.
Now, you may feel that's a lot but there's even more fun stuff to do here in the Coast Ranges. Hoaglin Valley is right next door to Ben Duncan Mailbox Trail and is a good site, and obviously Cottonwood Creek flows through this vicinity. Glide down the rapids of Eel River - North Fork in a kayak, and Schoolhouse Spring is a stunning spot to stop at while you're at Ben Duncan Mailbox Trail.
