California hiking trails - Bear Wallow Trail, Klamath Mountains, Glenn County

    Bear Wallow Trail in Glenn County, California is a great place to go. Don’t forget to check for any current restrictions or closures before you go. Bear Wallow Trail has a total elevation difference of 1,716 feet which is about average. Different parts of this backpacking and hiking
trail are at very different elevations, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations. For the duration of the warm months, highs generally are in the 90's at Bear Wallow Trail, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 50's, and night lows all through the winter for Bear Wallow Trail tend to be in the 30's. California has plenty of good hiking and backpacking trails, and one of those is Bear Wallow Trail in Glenn County. At parts of the year this region  
sees very little rain, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. Of course, this is an overnight backcountry hike, 1.5 days normally, so better have big backpack to fit all the stuff you need. This is just one of a large number of wilderness trails in this vicinity. Bear Wallow Trail has two trailheads, so trekking it one way is an option if you can arrange for a ride back. Being 11.6 miles long; it's longer than many backpacking and hiking trails. Bear Wallow Trail is not very next to Clearlake at all, but when you backcountry hike it you're always having a great time. This hiking trail is a hiking trail of brilliant length having an average number of uphill miles which makes this wilderness trail brilliant for hard core backpackers looking for adventure. The hiking trails of the Klamath Mountains are the best way to enjoy these highlands.

Briefly about the general area:
Rattlesnake Glade is a great place to stretch your legs a bit, and there's some flowing water close by, Bear Wallow Creek is a stream you can explore while you're here. A pleasant spree to Bowery Flat is a great way to spend an afternoon, and Dark Hollow Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth visiting.
If you have a thing about the outdoors, you'll fancy Bear Wallow Trail. Box Spring is a picturesque location to check out while you're at Bear Wallow Trail, and whitewater paddling is great on Eel River. You definitely have to have a thing about the Klamath Mountains. If you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Stony Creek, and why not camp at Mill Valley Campground if you're here at Bear Wallow Trail. Camping is available at North Fork Campground, and a short trip to Twin Springs is always worthwhile.
