California hiking trails - Bear Creek Trail, Siskiyou Mountains, Siskiyou County

wilderness trail is many miles long with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this a very tough backcountry trail for advanced hikers looking for a nice challenge. The total elevation difference for Bear Creek Trail is 3,136 feet which is a higher than average number. Bear Creek Trail is pretty arid commonly; through December this region sees the most rain while July is commonly the driest month. Put on your backpacking shoes, and hit the backcountry trail, Bear Creek Trail in Siskiyou County, California is a perfect place for getting out. Summer  
brings highs in the 80's to Bear Creek Trail, and the nighttime is fairly cooler of course, generally in the 50's. Throughout the wintertime the highs are generally in the 40's, and nighttime lows during the wintertime for Bear Creek Trail tend to be in the 20's. Of course, this is an overnight backcountry walk, 2 days normally, so it's a fine thing if your backpack is big enough to do the job. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. Different parts of this great outdoors hiking trail are at very different elevations, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations. The wilderness trails of the Siskiyou Mountains are the best way to enjoy these highlands. This backcountry trail has two trailheads, so backcountry trekking it one way is an option if you can arrange for a ride back.

Maple Grove Spring is a glorious local attraction, and let's not forget Longfellow Creek which is a stream that you may encounter during your stay. You might want to pay a visit to Lime Gulch if you're here at Bear Creek Trail; if you come at the right time of year, Klamath River offers some magnificent whitewater.
These mountains rock, just check out all the enjoyable things to do in the Siskiyou Mountains. Maple Spring is a charming place to stop by while you're at Bear Creek Trail; naturally Bear Creek flows through this vicinity. And that's not all you can do here at Bear Creek Trail. Why not camp at Tree of Heaven Campground while you're here at Bear Creek Trail, and if you came for an overnight stay Yreka RV Park is a glorious location to camp.
If you want a splendid time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Siskiyou Mountains. While you're here at Bear Creek Trail you should visit Humbug Point; there are some splendid whitewater spots on Shasta River.
