There is only one trailhead, so in and out is the way to backcountry trek it normally. The total elevation difference for this great outdoors hiking trail is 2,690 feet which is higher than average. Even though this is not a very long trail you should still bring some emergency supplies just in case something happens. Being 4.6 miles long it's a mid length backcountry trek. This hiking trail goes through some very different elevations which of course means you need to be prepared for different conditions on different parts of the hiking trail. The time needed for this backcountry walk is roughly 4 hours, but of course some people walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. Sometimes this trail gets really dry, so make sure you check current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you head out.
