perfect way to spend quality time in the fresh air. A lot of rain falls at Beacroft Trail; all through the month of January you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is July. Beacroft Trail is situated a relatively lengthy drive from Truckee-Grass Valley, but you
always have a perfect time when you're backcountry trekking along it. Beacroft Trail is not that long but you should still bring some emergency supplies just in case something happens. Beacroft Trail is a mid-length hiking and backpacking trail having an average number of uphill
miles which makes it a perfect wilderness trail for the average person looking for a perfect adventure. There is only one trailhead, so in and out is the way to hike it normally. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. The time needed for this backcountry hike is
roughly 4 hours, but of course some folks walk a bit slower and some a bit faster.
Briefly about the general area: You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors amusing things the area near Beacroft Trail has to offer. Tadpole Creek is a good local stream, and Big Valley
Canyon is another glorious place to go to nearby. This location, the Northern Sierra Nevada, has so much outdoors amusing stuff. A trip to Ford Point in close proximity to Beacroft Trail is always a magnificent idea; a short journey to Skunk Spring is always worthwhile. So
much fun stuff to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada, not enough time. The nice folks of Truckee-Grass Valley like to hang out close by. Andrew Gray Creek is a good spot to stop at; if you came for an overnight stay Secret House Campground is a wonderful location to camp. Get your
heart beating on the magnificent whitewater of Yuba River - South Fork; Tadpole Spring is an inspiring location to stop at while here. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend American River - North Fork, and Tadpole Campground is a delightful local campground.
